Saleh Shaalan is the director of Allied Health Services at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Center for Special Education-Operated by the New England Center for Children (MRC-NECC). Saleh has a PhD from University College London (UCL), UK in child language disorders. He completed his M.Sc. degree and clinical training in speech-language pathology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, (2000).
He is a certified member of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Speech-Language Audiology Canada (SAC) and Healthcare Professions Council, (HCPC) in (UK). He holds a license from the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) in UAE and he is a founding member and former vice president of the Emirates SLP Society.
His main areas of interest are language disorders in children with autism, developmental language disorders (DLD), and bilingualism in individuals with autism.
